Installation Process
- Download ubuntu server LTS iso file
- Flash the downloaded iso to a usb drive (eg. using balenaEtcher)
- Restart machine (with the usb plugged in) and spam F12/ Enter key (can be different depending on the device) to enter Boot menu
- In the boot menu: Select the usb >> Enter into Grub menu >> Installation Complete >> Restart machine
Boot Repair
- When stuck in an infinite loop during Windows dual boot, first ensure that the boot priority is set correctly i.e. Windows < Ubuntu, then try to boot repair
- If boot repair is not possible in the installed Ubuntu server due to not being able to connect to the internet: Download Ubuntu (GUI version) to a usb drive >> boot into it >> connect to WiFi and run Boot Repair >> Power off, eject USB >> Restart machine
